Our two vessels UNIONSUR and UNZEN have the autonomy to operate in the fishing zone for more than 45 days at a time, before calling into port. On the high seas they catch the resources which are processed on board within 6 hours until they are frozen at minus 26° Celsius so that the standard of freshness and quality of our products is the highest in the world. The authorised area of operation for our vessels is latitude 44º 30′ south outside the straight baseline within 60 miles to the west.
UNIONSUR and UNZEN have a quality control programme based on HACCP for their fish and surimi production lines. They also have FDA authorisations for the USA, China, Russia, Brazil and the European Community.
From 2019 we have MSC COC Certification– Registration No. MSC-F-31437 for Austral Hake (Merluccius australis).
